Tomorrow is American Thanksgiving. I have come to understand that this is a very big holiday for my friends south of the boarder. The long weekend seems to revolve around food, football and family.

I wanted to take the time to say thank you to some of the American’s who are part of the SGEM Family. Without you this free open access to medical education (FOAM) initiative would not be so successful.

The goal of the SGEM continues to be to cut the KT window down from over ten years to less than one year. It does this by providing a weekly high quality and clinically relevant critical review of a recent publication.

Thank you for your dedication, passion and commitment. I have the pleasure of surrounding myself with talented people who care deeply about medical education. You share my desire for patients to receive the best care based on the best evidence. Your efforts are appreciated.

Have a great thanksgiving!
